Our Process

Entry Point Health Services helps you get a clearer path to an autism diagnosis without waiting months for a traditional appointment. Instead of spending 6 to 18 months on waitlists, making calls, and searching for testing locations on your own, you can start the process sooner and get support every step of the way.

Our telehealth process is designed to keep things organized from the very beginning. You can often get started within a few weeks, complete everything from home, and work with a clinical team that keeps each step clear. Most families complete the process within 4–6 weeks.

Entry Point Health Services was built by clinical and healthcare leaders focused on improving access to autism evaluations for children and families.

How the Autism Evaluation Process Works From Home

1. Complete Intake Paperwork and Developmental History

The first step is paperwork, but it serves a real purpose. You'll fill out a simple intake form with details about your child's development, history, routines, current concerns, and patterns you've noticed at home, school, or in childcare. The clinical team uses this context before your appointments begin, so you won't have to explain everything from scratch on a single call.

2. Get Set Up and Matched for Evaluation

After intake, you'll get set up in the portal, matched for evaluation, and guided through scheduling. The portal keeps your information organized and helps you know what to expect before your evaluation appointments begin. You won't have to search for testing locations on your own. Our process gives you a clearer, more supported path from the start.

3. Complete BCBA or LBA Evaluation Appointments

You'll complete evaluation appointments with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst or Licensed Behavior Analyst. These appointments give the BCBA or LBA time to gather structured information about your child's development and behavior. You'll talk about things like communication, social interaction, play, sensory responses, routines, behavior, and daily life. The goal is to collect helpful information for the physician's review.

4. Physician Review and Diagnosis

Entry Point Health Services offers a comprehensive, physician-led evaluation that includes developmental history, structured behavioral assessment, physician review, diagnostic determination, and written recommendations. Once the BCBA or LBA appointments are finished, a licensed physician reviews the clinical information and uses DSM-5 diagnostic standards. The physician makes the diagnosis. The BCBA or LBA gathers structured information, and the physician reviews the full clinical picture before determining whether the clinical information supports an autism diagnosis.

5. Receive a Signed Diagnostic Report and Recommendations

After the evaluation, you'll get a signed diagnostic report and recommendations you can use for therapy planning, early intervention, school support, IEP discussions, care planning, or conversations with other providers.
